Business Spotlight: Inn at the Canyons

“What more can I say? You don’t find hotels this nice very often, and especially for the price. Very friendly staffs, huge pool, good breakfast, very clean rooms. This is truly a hidden gem,” says one Trip Advisor reviewer.
Jared Harris and his wife Heidi purchased the property four years ago. Jared a native of Sacramento and Heidi of Orem met while Jared was working installing rollercoaster’s all around the country.
The Harris’ went into business for themseves when an Ogden real estate agent led them to the property in Monticello.
“This one just worked,” said Harris. Soon after the purchase the Harris’s began and extensive remodel project including the outside awning, lobby and breakfast area, pool area and rooms.
The hotel has sales higher than in its entire history despite the current recession.
“The hotel business is like the rollercoaster’s I used to install with its ups and downs,” says Harris.
