Business spotlight: Inn at the Canyons

This week, the Business Spotlight is on Inn at the Canyons. Owners Heidi and Jared Harris purchased the hotel in 2009 and quickly began making renovations. To date, they have made over $250,000 in improvements, including changing the name of the hotel to “Inn at the Canyons”.
Other updates include replacing bed mattresses in all 43 guest rooms, installing new floor tiling in all guest bathrooms and the breakfast area, hanging new artwork featuring photos of the local landscape throughout the hotel, installing new carpeting in guest rooms, and more.
Improvements planned for 2011 include landscaping improvement, installation of new tiling on the bottom of the swimming pool, replacement of existing televisions in guest rooms with updated flat screen TVs, and replacement of bed coverings in all guest rooms.
The Harris’s aim to brand the Inn at the Canyons as a premier, upper-class hotel in Monticello. And they couldn’t do it without their world class staff.
