Navy Nieves, the daughter of Mandy and Ronnie Nieves of Blanding, is the 2011 New Years Baby at the San Juan Hospital in Monticello. Navy was born at 9:32 p.m. on Thursday, January 4.
In May of 1880, Nephi Bailey, his young wife and three children arrived in Bluff just months after the Hole-in-the Rock pioneers had settled there.
