Running for: Monticello City Council, 2 year term

My name is Scott Frost and I am running for the 2 year term of City Council Person. I am a long term resident of Monticello, having been born here. I lived in Kirtland New Mexico for several years in the 1980’s. In the early 90’s my wife Roxann, two kids and I moved back to Monticello. I am a partner in Blue Mountain Meats inc. located in Monticello. We have a successful business that brings money from outside the area into Monticello.

I have been involved in the City for several years as a member of the Planning Commission. Last year I was appointed to the City Council to fill a vacancy. I have been involved with the Monticello Chamber of Commerce for a few years which I have enjoyed. I see the importance of communication and cooperation between the City Council, City Committees, Citizens and the Business Community in all aspects of City Business.

My campaign promise is that I will do my best to make decisions that will be in alignment with the Character of our community.

I have interest and concern for the long term financial Health of Monticello Coupled with a desire to improve our business environment.

We have financial issues that will need to be dealt with; Sales Taxes are lower than anticipated. This and other issues that may arise can be dealt with and our community will survive and be stronger because of it.

We have many dedicated and experienced Employees in the City that need to be commended for their desire to improve our Community. Do not underestimate their contribution to the well being of Monticello.

I would appreciate your vote on the ballot Tuesday, November 3.
