An estimated 900 bikes will race in the events, which are spread over a two week period. This weekend, August 31 to September 2, will feature motorcycle racing, while events of the following week will feature four-wheel ATVs.
In total, Bull Hollow expects roughly 1,600 racing enthusiasts in the coming days.
Racers will follow a seven mile off-road course, in addition to the 1.5 mile original course. The world’s best professional racers will also go through the Bear Canyon portion of Bull Hollow during their race on Sunday.
Bull Hollow owner Joe Barton said that the initial races through the Bear Canyon course at the 2006 WORCS race were a big hit. According to Barton, the pro racers said, “Bear Canyon was 150 yards of the most grueling track they have ridden.”
Barton said that it has been a good season at Bull Hollow, with thrills and a few spills.
The WORCS race is the biggest event of the year at Bull Hollow. Barton said that there will be plenty of action and fun at the course and at Pit Row. “Pit Row is full of the world’s best motorcycle equipment and you can get great deals there,” said Barton.
Racing runs all day on Saturday, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and running into the evening. Racing on Sunday culminates in two hours of professional racing which begins at noon.
