Julie Pascali passed away with her adoring children beside her on September 11, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great great-grandmother.
Julie was born and raised in Monticello, UT and move to San Jose the day after her high school graduation.
When she was 20 years old, she met the love of her life, Joe, and remained married for 60 years.
During this time they had six children, Carol Maddox, Pamela Stansberry, Lesa Pascali-TeGrotenhuis, Teresa Pascali, Joseph Pascali, and Victor Pascali; sons-in-law Jim Maddox, John Stansberry, and David TeGrotenhuis; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Once the children were grown, Julie returned to San Jose State University and completed her Bachelors degree in Social Work. She also taught English as a Second Language for over 25 years.
Julie had many interests which included playing the mandolin, performing in theater and plays at the community college, singing in the church choir, serving as Eucharistic minister at St. John Vianney and was an active participant in planning and building the Mount Saint Joseph Carmelite Monastery.
She was also an avid gardener, taking great pride in canning and sharing from her garden.
But above all else, Julie’s love for Joe and her children were what mattered most.
Many thanks go to the staff at Almaden Health and Rehabilitation Center and Seasons Hospice Services for their patient and professional care.
Funeral Mass was held September 19, 2017 at St. John Vianny Church in San Jose and interment took place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
