The 28th Annual Utah Navajo Fair with the theme, Honoring Our Elders, featured a parade, traditional songs and dances, comedy and cultural performances, the Miss Utah Pageant, a Pow Wow, artisans displaying their hand made jewelry and pottery, as well as. among other events, rock and roll music and a carnival.

The red rocks glowing in the morning sun paled compared to the profusion of color and pageantry displayed throughout the parade and dancing, while drumbeats echoed through the nearby canyons and beyond.
