Gusman Montano, 84, of Canjilon, NM, passed away October 11, 2016.

Gus worked as a uranium miner, and rancher. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service.

Gus is survived by his wife Mary Lou Montano; sons George and Nelda of Aleade, NM, Leonard of Espanola, NM and Louis and Kim of Concord, CA; daughters Teresa, Loretta Sullivan Trujillo, Stephanie and Gene Conahan; 16 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by sisters Juanita Garcia of Vernal, UT, Della Ocana and Carmen Trujillo both of Albuquerque, NM.

Gus is preceded in death by his parents, Emilano and Mary Montano; brothers John, Benny and Celerino Montano, Sr. and sister Estella Martinez.
