Alliyah is the daughter of Andrew Chavez of Farmington, NM and Vernita Capitan of Montezuma Creek.
Alliyah is a senior at Whitehorse High School. During the 2015 Utah Navajo Fair pageant, Alliyah was given the Miss Congeniality title.
When the former 2015-16 Miss Utah Navajo Queen Latisha Allen of Monument Valley returned her crown to pursue her education out of state, the duties of Miss Utah Navajo fell to Alliyah Chavez to carry on the responsibilities of the 2015-16 Miss Utah Navajo.
The Utah Navajo Fair team has every confidence in Alliyah to be a remarkable role model to the youth and elderly, as well as to carry on the duties of the Miss Utah Navajo Queen as per the Utah Navajo Fair royalty policy and requirements.
In the Utah Navajo Fair history, this is the second time the Miss Utah Navajo crown has been passed on to the Miss Congeniality.
The Utah Navajo Fair team appreciate the former Miss Utah Navajo Latisha Allen for her valuable time and duties performed as representing the citizens of the Beehive state. They wish Latisha Allen the best with her education and her life’s endeavors.
To celebrate Alliyah Chavez’s new title, the Utah Navajo Fair Team is calling upon royalties, entertainers and volunteers to help celebrate the newly crowned Miss Utah Navajo Fair Queen.
A formal reception will be held in Miss Alliyah’s honor on June 22, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Utah Navajo Fair Song and Dance Arena, Bluff, UT.
Those entertainers and public that wish to attend this celebration may join them during this time.
