San Juan County now has daily bus service to and from the Wasatch Front.

Elevated Transit, an American Fork, UT-based business, began offering daily service in the past week.

The Elevated Transit buses feature 35 seats, ADA accessibility, air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi.

Buses leave Blanding at 7:30 a.m. every day with stops in Monticello, Moab, Green River, Price and the Wasatch front, with a final destination at the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Similarly, a bus leaves the airport in the morning, with an arrival in Blanding in the midafternoon.

Bus service initiates at the Canyon Country convenience store in Blanding and stops in Monticello at the 711 Shell station.

Ned Palmer is the driver of the bus that leaves Blanding every morning. He drives to Price, where he meets the bus from Salt Lake City and drives it back to Blanding.

The rate for a trip depends upon the distance traveled, with an $85 ticket from Blanding all the way to the Salt Lake airport. A ticket to travel between Monticello and Blanding is $15.
