More than 800 quilts tied in the Monticello area have been donated to humanitarian organizations, the culmination of a community-wide effort in Monticello. The quilts were gathered together and filled five rows of tables. Organizers began in April with a goal of 500 quilts, but the actual output far exceeded the goal. Courtesy photo
