Track teams close season at state meet

Both San Juan and Monticello high school track teams made grand appearances at their respective state track tournaments last weekend in Provo, with both the boys and girls teams from San Juan High capturing third place in team scores, while the Buckaroo girls garnered fourth place and the boys were in eighth. 

State champion individual performers were Macee Nielson, who won the 3200m title for the third straight year, Jace Holliday, 400m title, and Devin Wright, javelin state title.

The Broncos also won both the girls and boys versions of the 4 x 100 relay with Sade Kyles, Megan Macdonald, Cortney Macdonald, Simone Shumway, and Delaney Nielson winning for the girls and Drew Nielson, Colby Redd, Ryan Lyman, Jace Holliday, Ammon Mitchell, and Maverik Shumway wearing the boys crown.

Following are the results for the Buckaroos  in 1A and Broncos in 2A.
