Ms. Leigh von der Esch, Managing Director of the Utah Office of Tourism, (A Division of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development) will open the day’s educational activities with her presentation, “Unprecedented Partnerships”, a Utah leadership priority established by Utah Governor, Gary Herbert.
Keynote of the conference will be delivered by Ms. Krista Rahe. Ms. Rahe is an internationally recognized motivational trainer and will deliver “Raise the Bar!!! On Customer Service”.
This interactive program is designed to help frontline staff learn the hottest service tips in these important areas - Taking care of your customers, especially your “unhappy” customers and those with special service needs. Participants will learn:
Service skills which will help them exceed expectations every time.
The “little things” they can do which are perceived as great service by the guest.
“Win-Win” strategies for turning difficult situations positive for the guest and for ourselves.
Communications skills and service skills for better serving people from other cultures and people with disabilities.
Additionally, Krista will lead an afternoon breakout session on building a “Culture of Service” within your organization. Informational/instructional sessions will also be given on the latest web and social media strategies by Ryan Kirby of Utah.com and Chris Newton of GOTRAVELSITES.
Seth Winterton of the Utah Department of Agriculture will share the marketing strategies employing “Utah’s Own”.
