May 26, 1959 ~ January 14, 2017

Our mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma and most importantly friend, passed on to her next adventurous journey surrounded by loved ones on the 14th of January, 2017 at the age of 57.

Born to Kay and Robert “Bob” Jones in Provo, UT, Robin is the oldest of their ten children.

Known for her courageous and positive attitude; always smiling and willing to help anyone and everyone who crossed her path.

She was skilled at and loved many things: quilting, music, singing in a local choir, reading, gardening, bird watching, various other arts and crafts and spending time with her many friends, grandkids (who referred to her as “Gramma J”) and family.

In 1978 she married her high school sweetheart, Forrest Patterson. During 23 years of marriage they had three children which she considered to be the greatest accomplishment of her life: Crystal, Travis, and Trent.

She defied all odds, and with the spirit of a true fighter had undergone four open heart surgeries and suffered a stroke. Yet, never had a complaint in the world or a bad word to say about anyone.

With the cards stacked against her, she still gave birth to and helped raise her children, while upholding her callings in her beloved LDS faith with unwavering conviction.

Complications following her fourth surgery took a toll on her body, but not her spirit.

In the end, it eventually led her down a path to freedom that she long had hoped for: to go home.

Although it’s not the path we want, we understand and know it’s the Lords path for her.

She is now reunited for eternity with her father: Robert “Bob” Jones, her sister Lydia Mae and many other loved ones.

She is survived by her children: Crystal (Cory) Raisor, Travis (Crystallyn) Patterson, Trent Patterson, “adopted daughter” Dana Frankovich, mother Kay Jones, and eight siblings: Heather (Dan) Raisor, Alma (Glenda) Jones, Richard Jones, Leah Jones, Aaron (Kim) Jones, Gary Jones, Ellen (Rodney) Kyles, Lynette (Kim) Jones; 15 grandchildren, and many more beloved family, and friends.
