Montezuma Creek Elementary School, celebrating Native American Month, had the Montezuma Creek 2010-2011 Princess and Brave Pageant on November 16.

The royalty includes Desiree Benally, Princess, the daughter of Clorissa Thomas; Ramon Oldman, Brave, son of Otis Oldman and Lucinda Slim; Riley Dishface, 1st Attendant/Brave, son of Brenda Dishface; Kyra Buck, 1st Attendant/Princess, daughter of Nathaniel Buck and Deanna Poyer; Jessica Ben, daughter of Alvin and Sylvia Ben, Master of Ceremony; and Kenneth Maryboy, San Juan County Commissioner and Navajo Nation Council Delegate.
