Oren Charles Humphreys, born August 7, 1934, passed July 3, 2018.
Chuck Humphreys was born and raised near Ulysses, KS.
His parents were Oren O. Humphreys and Margaret McRae. They had a lively family of twelve boys and three girls.
Chuck served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
He was a scout leader and soccer coach while living in Phoenix, AZ.
Chuck was a master of many trades.
He loved painting new homes and remodeling homes and businesses.
While living in Tulsa, OK; Houston, TX; and Phoenix, AZ, he painted rare cars for big names in the sport.
His most impressive works are the ones hanging on walls of many friends and family members.
These pictures are created from plaster on masonite and include southwest scenery, rocky cliffs, cactus, and mountains.
He made many families happy helping them complete their projects using his creative talents as a carpenter and electrician.
After hours was time to build a beautiful home for his family, as his dad did before him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and one sister.
Survivors include five brothers; two sisters; Peggy, his wife of 50 years; four children: Buddy Pearce, Karon Johnson, Cory Humphreys, and Cameron Humphreys; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great.
Many other little friends called him grandpa.
No services are planned at this time.
