Joshua Meyer and Hans Hurst, seniors at San Juan High School, and Devin Wright, of Monticello High School, are among the students who participated in “Engineering State” at Utah State University this summer.   Hans said the participants had some exciting experiences like flying and controlling a plane, “building and testing a balsa wood airplane, structural engineering demonstrations, construction of a magnetic cannon, learning about geotechnical engineering and learning about tissue engineering.”  At San Juan High School, Hans is involved in Student Council, FLBA, NHS, Band and Cross Country.  He is the son of Joe and Shauna Hurst of Blanding.
