The Monticello High School Lady Buckaroo basketball team won the Region 19 title and finished in eighth place at the 1A state tournament, which finished on February 22. The Lady Bucks ran into the hot Bryce Valley Mustangs to open the tournament with a loss and dropped into the consolation bracket. They then went on a two-game win streak, with victories over Manilla and Duchesne, to find themselves in the consolation championship game against Milford.
