This week there is actual real news from our fair village. By the way, the population of La Sal had doubled as of Sunday evening with the arrival of a type II fire team for the Lackey Fan fire.
Every now and then we need to be reminded about our local unsung heroes. La Sal has a wonderful cadre of Emergency Responders who are called into action as the need arises.

When folks ask me about La Sal, I say it is an old ranching and mining town. For ranching it is feast and famine – leaning more toward famine. Local mining is ebb and flow.
